Mimicry Architecture, 2018

Design, Architectural Study, Research

How do an ethnicity group mark their territory with architectural elements and how does this change their own traditional architecture.

Looking through China towns around the world, I feel like Chinese traditional architecture had been over simplify and turned into a mare shape & symbol with no regards of the authenticity of the original building method nor the use of materials.

In this project, I decide to create a construction manual which provide standardise building units for people who want to build their very own 'Chinese Architecture'.

With the same elements, you can build yourself a Temple, Pavilion & Archway.
